1994 AgriProspects Workforce Development Coordinators

Summary: The Extension Foundation, in partnership with the ECOP Workforce Development Program Action Team, is seeking dynamic, collaborative individuals to join our team. Supported by USDA National Institute of Food and Agriculture AFRI Education and Workforce Development Competitive Grant 2023-67037-40533, AgriProspects focuses on growing and refining the national portfolio of Extension adult agricultural workforce development programs and connecting them to those seeking opportunities.
Two Positions are available: One Regional Network Coordinator and one Regional Content Coordinator from the 1994 Region. As 1994 institutions are located across the country, the 1994 incumbents will lead work with assistance from the AgriProspects Network and Professional Development and Content & Credentialing Leads and other AgriProspect coordinators, specifically those where Extension regions overlap.
1994 AgriProspects Regional Network Coordinator:
- Plan and carry out national and regional education and outreach activities such as mini-grant support, curriculum capture and development, and targeted professional development (e.g., certification and credentialing).
- Build relationships with learners, earners, employers, intermediaries, agencies, and other stakeholders within your region to gain insights into their needs.
- Support mini-grant applicants and recipients.
- Identify opportunities to grow and strengthen the network through creative engagement strategies.
- Engage with a variety of stakeholders to assess regional and national workforce needs to inform the development of Extension curriculum and professional development.
- Serve on internal committees and working groups as needed.
1994 AgriProspects Regional Content Coordinator:
- Identify and document impactful adult agricultural workforce development programs for inclusion in the AgriProspects Clearinghouse.
- Identify issues around credentialing, access, and equitability for learners, earners, and employers and work to develop solutions.
- Support mini-grant applicants and recipients.
- Identify opportunities to grow and strengthen the network through creative engagement strategies.
- Develop professional development opportunities for Extension faculty, staff, and educators related to content, credentialing, access, and equitability.
- Serve on internal committees and working groups as needed.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated knowledge of workforce development and Extension program development and delivery.
- Demonstrated skills in network building and stakeholder engagement.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
- Passion for building the foundations for future programmatic efforts nationwide.
- Must work for a 1994 Land-grant Institution
Time Frame and Compensation:
- Up to $25,000 per year, starting on or about September 1, 2024.
- Contracts are reviewed and renewed annually across the grant's remaining four years.
- Funds support a portion of FTE commensurate with the incumbent’s current rate of salary and benefits.
